    Who will you be working with?

    This position is located in our small, but growing, manufacturing and overhaul/repair facility located in Greenville. We primarily manufacture and overhaul components for the transit industry (subway and commuter rail). We have been in operation for over 50 years and offer fantastic benefits and stable work environment.

    How will you make a difference?

    As a member of Transtech, you will be responsible for ensuring all plantwide efforts in quality for on- going certification and compliance to quality standards.

    What do we want to know about you?

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

    • Bachelor Degree in Quality Engineering or technical equivalent or 7-10 years experience in a quality-related field (including first and second party auditing experience).

    • Railroad industry experience preferred.

    • Exhibit broad depth of knowledge and application of quality and regulatory requirements to include ISO 9001.

    • Lead Auditor Certification.

    • Certified Quality Engineer (preferred).

    • Ability to work unsupervised.

    • Strategic and creative thinking to analyze multiple input streams, synthesize information into a clear summary of trends, and drive correction / preventative actions to improve compliance and quality of delivered product.

    • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Exhibits Strong quality compliance behavior.

    • Strong computer acumen (Microsoft products and other systems as required).

    What will your typical day look like?

    • Adheres to all safety precautions and PPE requirements.

    • Ensure compliance and certification to ISO 9001, AAR, IRIS other standards.

    • Provides training on the requirements to the plant.

    • Maintain document control system for ISO 9001/AAR/IRIS. This includes but not limited to, system document/record control, change management with other functions, document releases, annual reviews, communication to plant, process mapping, etc.

    • Lead plantwide internal audit program. This includes but not limited to, performing auditor training, scheduling/maintaining internal audit plans, preparing audit packages for the internal auditors, performing internal audits, managing corrective/preventive action plans, following up on all plans to ensure effectiveness, etc.

    • Lead plantwide external audit program. This includes but not limited to, coordinating audit schedules, preparing the plant (as needed), managing audit results, etc.

    • Lead and/or support customer audits. This includes but not limited to, coordinating audits, working as a team member to ensure plant readiness, managing audit results, etc.

    • Facilitating the Management Review process.

    • Acts as management representative in customer and external auditor meetings.

    • Lead all plant wide initiatives to improve Cost of Poor Quality metrics, defect reduction, and all other assigned quality improvement objectives

    • Must be able to present to various levels of leadership in a clear and concise manner.
