This position reports to Seniorr Manager, Process Science and is based at Kenvues Guelph, Ontario site. Alternate locations include Fort Washington PA and Skillman NJ

Role reports to: Senior Manager, Process Science

Location: Guelph Canada, Fort Washington, PA or Skillman, NJ. Note, Kenvues corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025

Travel: up to 20%

What you will do

The Manager provides technical leadership and direction for a specialized team of scientific and technical staff ensuring reliable supply to meet the regional supply chain objectives for NA. The position has direct responsibility for base business support and to define and execute technical projects for the NA Make organization. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring robust product development, process optimization, and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biopharmaceutical process development, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Strategy:

2. Provide technical leadership and direction for a specialized team of scientific and technical staff

3. Implement process science strategies aligned with the companys business goals.

4. Executional Excellence:

5. Ensure consistent execution of a single, standardized process across all operations.

6. Minimize errors, improve efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards.

7. Effectively manage technical transfer and life cycle management initiatives, in close collaboration with the Global Reliability.

8. Product Development:

9. Collaborate closely with Quality and R&D teams to ensure seamless transitions through new product development lifecycle.

10. Balance speed-to-market with quality and safety requirements

11. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

12. Work closely with Supply Chain, R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments.

13. Foster effective communication and collaboration.

14. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

15. Identify and assess risks related to process changes, scalability, and compliance.

16. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure smooth operations.

17. Resource Management:

18. Lead team members and develop plans for team members to include assignment of project priorities and responsibilities while being accountable for the teams outcomes.

19. Stakeholder Communication:

20. Provide regular updates to senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

21. Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements

22. May act on behalf of the Regional Cluster Lead in their absence

23. Regulatory Compliance:

24. Stay informed about industry regulations and standards.

25. Ensure process science activities adhere to legal requirements.

26. Team Development:

27. Coach and develop team members.

28. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific field.

• 8 years of industry experience is required with at least 4 years of process development experience required.

• Experience within the Consumer, OTC, or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred. GMP experience is preferred.

• Experience in a highly regulated environment is required.

• Advanced, technical knowledge related to process/product development is required.

• Previous experience overseeing complex projects in a matrixed environment is required.
