  • Position Summary...

    What you'll do...

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manages auditing, invoicing and payments for several key last-mile delivery vendors across various business units such as WMT, Sam's Club and Walmart GoLocal

    • Responsible for revenue and cost reporting analyses on a monthly basis including reporting on cost and revenue trends, running and evaluating margin analyses and presenting results in a digestible form to a senior audience

    • Establishes annual purchase orders and executes monthly payments to vendors

    • Forecasts estimated annual and monthly costs with complex models considering multiple variables; works with senior leadership up to C-suite level in order to get approvals on cost estimates

    • Support with ad hoc analyses for renegotiations and pricing analyses

    • Working with data science teams to automate and enhance workstream in a scalable and digestible way

    • Works with controllership to ensure that payments are mapped to the correct accounts and that our payments are reclassed to the proper legal entity

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot irregularities in data sets, establish root-cause analyses and comes to the table with proposed solutions

    • Exceptional time-management skills and can manage a monthly workflow to ensure deadlines are being met

    • Problem solver and team-player that can work cross functionally with accounting, controllership and vendors

    • Strong to advanced excel skills and strong understanding of accounting principles

    • Strong communicator that can explain complex problems to varying audiences

    • Manages one or more work streams for the operations organization by designing project plans ; organizing project timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving stakeholder teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; recommending appropriate operational processes ; developing and managing project requests and timelines by establishing project requirements; communicating project status, details, timelines, and available resources; planning and executing resource allocation; finalizing, approving, and delivering projects; taking corrective action as necessary to drive project results; communicating project plans and deliverables to key stakeholders ; identifying root causes and developing potential solutions for initiatives; and making recommendations based on data and observation.

    • Provides decision support by sourcing, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data and information; providing influence and insight on current and future business trends; conducting analyses of initiatives to understand and communicate trends; translating data analysis into recommendations aligned with business objectives; and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop processes and strategies that help meet business goals.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years' experience with accounting and/or finance

    The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

    Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
