    Job Summary

    Manages construction projects, including managing budgets, staffing, and monitoring completion progress. Manages program performance by assisting in evaluating and implementing construction metrics and performance monitoring. Manages safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Identifies customer satisfaction and performance issues. Manages vendor relationships by assessing current operational processes while working with team to manage vendors. Obtains advanced research knowledge on vendor relationship management trends and applies strategies to business practices. Drives the construction management team to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of vendor performance analytics and vendor assessment.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Provides developmental opportunities for others; builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships. Solicits and acts on performance feedback; works closely with employees to set goals and provide open feedback and coaching to drive performance improvement.Pursues professional growth; develops and provides training and development to talent for growth opportunities; supports execution of performance management guidelines and expectations. Delegates tasks and decisions as appropriate; provides appropriate support, guidance, and scope; encourages development and consideration of options in decision making.

    • Manages designated work unit or team by translating business plans into tactical action items; oversees the completion of work assignments and identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures all policies and procedures are followed. Aligns team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; determines and ensures processes and methodologies are implemented; resolves escalated issues as appropriate; sets standards and measures progress. Fosters the development of work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; obtains and distributes resources. Removes obstacles that impact performance; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences teams to execute in alignment with operational objectives.

    • Manages construction projects by: managing related financials to support accurate and timely budgets, cost estimates, and pre-construction services, while making recommendations for budget development; determining appropriate staffing of projects and managing staffing resources; monitoring project progress and completion to ensure project delivery within approved schedule and estimates; and evaluating major issues while collaborating with senior leaders to determine solutions and providing recommendations as needed.

    • Managing program performance by: assisting in evaluating and implementing construction metrics and performance monitoring; managing safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards; evaluating and planning solutions ensuring the adherence of facilities design standards; and identifying customer satisfaction and performance issues.

    • Managing vendor relationship management by: assessing current operational processes on an on-going basis while working with team to manage vendors, including vendor assessment and vendor performance analytics, to highlight trends and identify impactful process improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness of vendor management; obtaining advanced research knowledge on vendor relationship management trends and applying strategies to business practices; and leads and manages the examination of financial qualifications, bonding capability, and safety records of potential vendors to be added to the Master Vendor list; and driving the team to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of vendor performance analytics and vendor assessment.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum one (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets.

    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

    • Bachelors degree in construction management, architecture, structural or electrical engineering, or related field AND minimum five (5) years of experience in general construction industry, construction management, or directly related field OR Minimum eight (8) years of experience in general construction industry, construction management, or a directly related field.
