PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION- Level II
The position will be within the Mobile Projects Team and is responsible for performing all general mechanical maintenance on power plant equipment and welding functions. The Mobile Projects Team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training, reinforcing standards, reporting, and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions, and utilizing the corrective action program. This position regularly requires 80% travel.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION - Level III
This position will be within the Mobile Projects Team and is responsible for performing high quality mechanical maintenance on power plant equipment and advanced welding functions. The Mobile Projects Team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training, reinforcing standards, reporting, and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions, and utilizing the corrective action program. This position regularly requires 80% travel.
This position can be filled a level II or Level III based on experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Level II
Perform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment (disassembly, part repair or replacement, assembly) using sound technical decisions regarding maintenance on complex mechanical equipment.
Pipefitter (read blueprints, design and build isometric drawings, complete layouts, and installation).
Combo welder (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
Read, blueprints, fabricate, and fit pipe. Fabricate and weld components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels.
Demonstrates strong maintenance skills on equipment in a safe and reliable manor using the correct tools, equipment such as rigging, fork trucks and cranes.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner at the direction of Maintenance Management.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams on major projects while adhering to the conduct of maintenance and established maintenance standards and practices.
Execute work package when assigned to the level of training received.
Use, review and recommend revisions to procedures, prints, technical manuals and other documents as required to the level of training received.
Provide technical support to plant operations, maintenance staff and engineering to the level of training received.
Interpret and understand power plant prints.
Perform verification checks on maintenance items covered in maintenance technician training.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION - Level III

Demonstrates advanced skills in welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
Read and understands details in blueprints to fabricate and fit pipe. Fabricate and weld components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels.
Demonstrates strong maintenance skills on equipment in a safe and reliable manor using the correct tools, equipment such as rigging, fork trucks and cranes.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner at the direction of Maintenance Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology,
Electronics with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology
3 5 years' experience in Maintenance Tech I or equivalent years of experience with trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience
Successfully complete the training requirements and time in job requirements for the position including previously passing the MASS test
Acquire and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities.
Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances.
Exposed to heat with reduced stay times, dust, smoke, dirt, high noise areas, confined and cramped work areas, and a nuclear power plant environment including Radiation Dose Exposure.
Works at high elevations on ladders and scaffolds.
Works shift work or weekends as required. Perform tasks inside radiological controlled areas.
Maintains nuclear qualifications IAW EIS Specific training program.
Maintain Radiation Protection Qualification and training, including respirator qualifications.
Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear plant access.
Basic computer skills, Good oral and written communication skills.
This position regularly requires > 80% travel within the nuclear plants.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous trade union experience (millwright or pipefitting) Welding qualifications. Machinist experience
