    Job Description:

    The Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Tradesmen will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment. This role ensures safe workplace practices are always followed and promotes safety awareness by leading through example. Responsibilities include predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance analysis. The technician must adhere to all relevant codes and regulations while performing equipment installations, adjustments, and repairs in both plant and office environments. Additionally, the technician will assist outside contractors on major projects and must possess a broad working knowledge of codes related to their specific trade.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

    • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

    • Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.

    • Advise supervisors or management immediately if continued operation of equipment could be hazardous to the facility.

    • Test systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.

    • Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment as needed.

    • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair equipment and fixtures.

    • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating generators and other critical infrastructure equipment.

    • Respond to and troubleshoot equipment problems within company-owned facilities.

    • Improve plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance procedures.

    • Participate in Failure Analysis and Vulnerability studies.

    • Assist in maintaining inspection and maintenance of life safety systems.

    • Execute equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive).

    • Ensure compliance with federal and state codes.

    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

    • Be available to report for work during emergency situations such as storms and severe weather conditions.

    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of mechanical or electrical systems.

    • Perform other duties or projects as assigned or requested.

    Required Qualifications

    • Active Trade license (Mechanical or Electrical).

    • 3+ years of experience in the operations and maintenance of large commercial electrical or mechanical systems.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a high pace corporate atmosphere or a willingness to learn all aspects of mission-critical operations, building maintenance, and equipment installations.

    • Ability to work overtime and various shifts as needed.

    • Availability for timely emergency response during or after natural weather-related events to restore service, assess damage, repair critical systems, or assist third-party service providers.

    • Master-level license or equivalent experience and training.

    • Experience with HVAC controls installation, repairs, or troubleshooting.

    • OSHA 10 certification.

    • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet company needs.

    • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively complete multiple complicated tasks.

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to deal tactfully and efficiently at all levels of the organization.

    • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

    • Awareness of operational safety requirements in a critical environment and the ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulatory bodies.

    Education:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $21.10 - $44.99

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
