    Director of Engineering | Maintenance Manager Job Description 

    Are you the kind of person who needs to work with their hands and dreads sitting behind a desk? Quail Park is seeking a Director of Engineering | Maintenance Manager to help keep our community in tip-top shape. As Director of Engineering, you’ll stay on the move making sure that our building looks beautiful and safe to residents, prospective residents, and their families. In addition to making available apartments move-in ready, our Maintenance team handles routine common-area maintenance and grounds keeping, and responds to resident work orders. This position will oversee the maintenance of the community building, grounds, and vehicles, to preserve a safe, clean, and attractive living environment for the residents, and to ensure that the physical plant remains in compliance with all local and state regulatory agency guidelines.

    Engineering Assistant Maintenance Technician Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance is required

    • Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, general repairs, and depending on the community landscape maintenance, certifications a bonus

    • Previous experience in a senior living setting preferred

    • Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors

    • Must have basic proficiency in computer skills, including Word and Excel

    • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks, in order to accommodate the fluctuating needs of the residents and the community

    • Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to interpret written plans and instructions, and to communicate effectively with residents, families, team members, community and state officials and the general public

    • Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure

    • Subject to pre-employment screening including criminal background check, TB testing, and physical
