Job Title: Maintenance Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Helper to assist with maintenance and repairs of machinery and the facility. This role involves changing oil and coolants in machinery, following preventative maintenance routines, and maintaining a clean shop. You will work closely with the plant Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the facility and machinery are in optimal condition. This position is for the day shift, from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repairs of machinery and the facility.

• Change oil and coolants in machinery.

• Follow preventative maintenance routines.

• Cleanup shop to maintain a safe and organized environment.

• Work with the plant Maintenance Mechanic to maintain the facility and machinery.

Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.

• Some maintenance experience in any industry, such as production work or lube tech.

• Understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No specific experience required, but ideal candidates will have some form of maintenance experience, even from positions like Jiffy Lube.

Work Environment

Smaller shop that is clean but can be noisy in some areas due to machines that make plastic tubes. The environment is industrial yet well-maintained.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
