  • Description: You will be a Maintenance Electrician for our Chelmsford Operations facility, a leading hub for innovation in microelectronics. Our team is dedicated to producing advanced technology solutions that safeguard national security and advance the industry.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As a Maintenance Electrician, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    • Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment

    • Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit

    • Cuts wire and conduit to length

    • Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords

    • Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair

    • Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency

    • Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices

    In addition to the duties as described above, the Maintenance Electrician will work as part of a cohesive facilities team to provide support for building maintenance including snow removal. The candidate must be willing to work overtime as needed, be trained to Electrostatic discharge, cleanroom, OSHA's bloodborne pathogens standard, and other job related training including work-safe practices.

    MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 3+ years' experience in troubleshooting electrical problems

    • General knowledge of building maintenance

    • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills

    • Position requires the ability to safely lift 40 pounds

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain at least an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting, which requires U.S. citizenship.

    Desired Skills:

    • Building maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
