    Responsibilities

    What You'll Do:

    • We are looking for a Logistics Management Specialist support a NAVAIR Program Office based at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, providing logistics management support in the engineering, development and procurement of Unmanned Aircraft Systems. This role requires an active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.

    • Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop an integrated logistical support (ILS) plan to support a new acquisition unmanned program.

    • Help ensure the Capability Development Document (CDD) requirements for availability, reliability, sustainment, operations support cost, training and manpower are met.

    • Help ensure systems product support strategy elements are incorporated into acquisition documentation, procurement specifications, contracts and engineering documents.

    • Analyze logistics procedures to support and sustain aircraft systems products.

    • Analyze data collected to determine impact on material readiness and equipment accountability.

    • Experience developing Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP) and supportability milestones

    • Support the CCA team through researching and managing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) solutions

    • Knowledge of DoD acquisition, maintenance requirements, and organizational functions involved in logistical support.

    • Knowledge of logistical requirements in support of program decision milestones

    • Ability to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements, including funding and technical support requirements, and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan

    • Serve as the focal point for planning, managing, and coordinating life cycle logistics support.

    • Provide thorough and proper logistics inputs to supportability for future aircraft systems.

    • Interact with managers, engineering staff, and support staff in multiple organizations.

    • Identify sparing requirements, track reliability trends, and highlight inefficiencies in logistical support processes.

    • Draft budget requirements for outyear planning to maintain system readiness.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, technical or related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 4 years of recent and relevant experience in logistics management and a thorough understanding of DoD Unmanned Aircraft System platform logistics requirements.

    • Experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries.

    • Experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.

    Other Requirement:

    Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

    Skills:

    • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.

    Software:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Technology:

    • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
