    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to lead our scheduling department. The role involves assisting the receiving department and courier drivers, utilizing third-party vendors such as FedEx and UPS. The coordinator will be responsible for scheduling all routes for drivers within a 200-mile radius, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of food samples to our laboratory testing facility.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of employees by directing work schedules for warehouse, supply personnel, logistics, couriers, login technicians, and other departmental personnel.

    • Organize and prepare courier purchases for supervisor approval, including maintenance and gas.

    • Establish effective routes to minimize the cost of picking up customer samples.

    • Manage sample priorities.

    • Oversee the vehicle maintenance program, using GPS services to determine routine maintenance schedules, selecting service locations, and maintaining maintenance logs using the Nextraq online tool.

    • Maintain internal and external cleanliness of company vehicles.

    • Schedule couriers, coordinate pick-ups, and delivery of supplies to meet or exceed customer expectations.

    • Communicate with clients to establish needs, including special pickups during holidays and weekends, ensuring timely shipment of customer supplies and return coolers.

    • Prepare and deliver accurate courier expense reports, including credit card receipts, toll upkeep, and gas and maintenance receipts for supervisor approval.

    • Maintain the company facility according to established logs and review monthly for quality.

    • Assign and update Drivers Alert and driver training.

    • Ensure couriers are up to date with the corporate list.

    • Conduct monthly vehicle and safety audits.

    • Maintain laboratory conditions, including equipment, supplies, quality assurance programs, and accurate records throughout all procedures.

    • Complete all collision and injury reports accurately and timely, according to company policy.

    • Drive company initiatives to improve productivity and efficiencies.

    • Manage inventory supply levels for the lab.

    • Be on-call to coordinate after-hours pickups or cover shifts as needed.

    Essential Skills

    • Experience in logistics and scheduling coordination.

    • 3-4 years of experience within logistics/scheduling.

    • High School diploma or G.E.D.

    • 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes a small logistics team with nine drivers. The facility operates with approximately 70 people across three different shifts. The primary focus is on testing food and beverage products. The role may require driving company vehicles and being on-call for after-hours coordination.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00
