Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end.

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Engage in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.

• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.

• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.

• Provide strategic legal advice to clients.

• Collaborate with partners for guidance and input on complex cases.

• Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

• Minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience.

• Strong knowledge of Michigan Court Rules, Michigan Statutes, Federal Court Rules, and Federal Statutes.

• Proven ability to handle a large volume of cases independently.

• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Ability to learn and grow from mistakes that are made.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
