Legal Secretary

Description

Robert Half is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Litigation Legal Secretary to join our team. A successful candidate must possess in-depth knowledge and experience in construction and real estate law in addition to an excellent background in civil litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers specializing in civil litigation, specifically construction and real estate law.

• Prepare, revise, and format legal documents and correspondence.

• Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate meetings, court depositions, and hearings.

• Review, proofread, and maintain legal documents with attention to accuracy.

• File case documents to the court and keep an organized case filing system.

• Liaise with clients, external counsel, and court officials in a professional manner.

• Conduct legal research as needed.

• Promote confidentiality and privacy of attorney-client information at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary, preferably within civil litigation and with exposure to construction and real estate law.

• Proficient with standard office applications and legal research software.

• J.D. degree or paralegal certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
