    Main responsibilities:

    • Focus on identifying & analyzing emerging biological trends and technologies and identifying related IP assets and whitespaces for additional IP filings. This will include expert searching, accessing, and reporting of key findings (mainly patents, but also other publications) related to biologics, including monoclonal antibodies, cell therapies, gene therapies, etc.

    • Develop a deep understanding for critical next-generation biologics, define & manage IP generation and monetization projects, evaluate tools and vendors, and advise key stakeholders

    • Proactively work patent attorneys and IP analytics professionals to globally to understand and meet strategic priorities and informational needs using artificial intelligence ("AI") & other advanced analytics and patent searching tools

    About you

    • Master's degree or PhD (preferred) in Biomedical, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant life-sciences field; Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or significant knowledge of data analysis and computational techniques are a plus

    • Min. 5 years of relevant experience

    • Proficient with sequence searching and analysis of peptides, antibodies, and oligonucleotides

    • Proficient in conducting patent searches, patentability assessments, patent landscapes and freedom to operate (FTO) analysis

    • Professional experience as an IP expert, patent manager, or patent searcher

    • Knowledge of market analysis, strategic planning, and evaluation forecasting; Experience supporting business development and/or IP transactions is a plus

    • Strong analytical skills to rigorously assess biological mechanisms of action, molecular pathways, and bio-therapeutic modalities

    • Highly independent, self-motivated, and self-directed

    • Ability to work well with others in cross-functional and global teams with multiple stakeholders
