Legal Assistant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in Eagan, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling general contractor prequalification submissions, managing submission content, and supporting various legal department activities.

Responsibilities

• Handle the general contractor prequalification submissions and manage submission content.

• Track and maintain annual submissions and assist with project-specific bid submissions when necessary.

• Utilize software tools for information storing and sharing with marketing teams.

• Maintain and update project lists, project insurance, and bond information to assist with prequalification submissions.

• Assist with managing contractor, professional, and business license applications and renewals.

• Support the maintenance and monitoring of annual reports portfolio.

• Assist in winding down discontinued entities.

• File preliminary notice filings.

• Support senior paralegals with warranty and customer service job tracking and status.

• Conduct legal department invoice review, reconciliation, and tracking.

• Assist with scanning mail for electronic copy and communicating with the team. Requirements

• Proficiency in OpenAsset and Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience in using Case Management Software.

• Knowledge of CompuLaw.

• Ability to handle Billing Functions.

• Skills in Calendar Management.

• Experience in Claim Administration.

• Strong Client Relations skills.

• Excellent Communication abilities
