BenGlassLaw is seeking an On Claim Coordinator, in our disability division, whose primary job is managing the firm's active disability claims and coordinating all new consultations. We are looking for a person who is ready to take charge in this role. We take pride in the service we continue to provide to all of our clients who are currently receiving disability pay. The successful candidate will interact with consultation clients to gather medical records and policy documentation. They will work with existing clients to provide them with quality service. As an On Claim Coordinator, you will be responsible for keeping our clients informed and obtaining all the proper information to ensure we provide a successful outcome.
There is no prior experience in disability law required. We are seeking a candidate who is eager to learn and grow within this role.

Claim Management Duties:
- Manage roster of clients with active disability claims to ensure they stay on claim for as long as they remain disabled or until their policy term expires.
- Reach out to clients who are newly on claim after the appeal is won and explain the claim management process and how monthly benefit payments will be disbursed.
- Work with clients and their doctors to respond to insurance company claim investigations and updates. Includes gathering medical records and Attending Physician Statement forms, among other things.
- Review all material from clients and doctors before sending it to the insurance company.
- Review all incoming correspondence for clients on claim and communicate it to the client.
- Monitor Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) status and work with client to respond to insurance company overpayment reimbursement request.
- Track monthly checks for clients on claim and proactively investigate any delays and communicate with insurance companies, clients, and bookkeeper.
- Maintain weekly Clients on Claim spreadsheet to provide summary overview of each client's status.
- Maintain daily Check database to record and categorize all incoming LTD checks.
- Check in with each client on claim at least once a year to ensure that they are still seeking medical care and attending doctors' appointments.
Consultation Job Duties:
- Use lead conversion software to perform and oversee intake of clients who call the firm seeking a consultation.
- Communicate with consultation clients as they gather medical records and copies of their policies, schedule and set up consultations, prepare memo for attorneys' pre-consultation, attend consultations to take notes, share notes with client, create and send invoices to client, and track payments.
- Act as the point of contact for consultation clients after the consultation is complete and answer follow-up questions by communicating with the consulting attorney and reporting back to the client.
Knowledge & Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree or Equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service or law firm preferred but not required.
- You are organized and pay attention to details. You're the person who keeps lists and makes sure everything is moving along smoothly. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- You are comfortable on the phone, both calling other people and picking up calls when they come in. Communication is really important. And it's not just the phones. You need to be a person who speaks up when something is wrong. The attorneys rely on you to be the eyes and ears of the law firm.
- You are Internet and technology literate, and you would be comfortable learning new systems. You need to use a lead and case management system to track the progress of cases and report how things are going. If you don't have prior experience in lead and case management systems, don't worry, we will train you.
- You are kind and can empathize with people in challenging legal situations. People who call our office are often having some of the worst days of their lives. We make things better for them, not worse.
Compensation details: 20-25 Hourly Wage
