Robert Half Legal is working with an up and coming law firm in Carlsbad looking for a direct hire/full time legal assistant/paralegal to join their team. The position is fast paced, requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team. Excelling in this position may lead to additional opportunities for learning and growth within the firm. The role pays well and they offer a full suite of benefits. The firm as a whole has 11 attorneys and 14 support staff. The firm has been around for over 5 years now and it is a collaborative atmosphere. Responsibilities include:

• Experience in legal document preparation and assisting attorneys

• Proficiency in calendaring and managing court schedules

• Knowledge of legal processes and court procedures

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements

• 2 years in a position at a law firm, banking institution or accounting or collections firm

• High School Diploma required

• Paralegal Certificate highly desired

• Strong knowledge of MS Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Work in a team environment

• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills required

• Ability to handle heavy case load

• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
