  • Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is seeking an experienced Lease Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The primary objectives of this role will be overseeing all lease accounting activities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and managing lease administration processes.

    This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and will work closely with members of KDP's accounting, finance and other operational business partners on various accounting matters to ensure transactions are appropriately recorded within KDP's general ledger and financial statements.

    The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and capable of working independently in a project-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills, a keen sense of urgency, and attention to detail are essential to meet deadlines and adhere to contractual timelines. A process-oriented mindset and a commitment to identifying and implementing process improvements are also important. Professionalism in interactions with both internal and external customers is crucial. This role requires effective collaboration with Finance, Facility Infrastructure, Fleet Operations, Regional Business Units, Accounts Payable, Information Technology, and Compliance.

    This position is based at our HQ in Frisco, TX and will have a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home on a weekly basis

    Specific responsibilities for the Lease Accounting Manager position will include, but are not limited to:

    • Oversee the lease accounting process, including compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16.

    • Manage the accurate and timely recording of lease transactions in the general ledger.

    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual disclosures and reports related to leases.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze lease data, ensuring accuracy in reporting.

    • Develop and maintain lease accounting policies and procedures.

    • Monitor lease agreements and provide guidance on accounting treatment and financial implications.

    • Lead the audit process related to lease accounting and coordinate with external auditors.

    • Train and mentor junior accounting staff on lease accounting practices.

    • Support finance budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

    • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards relating to leasing.

    • Participate in special projects related to lease accounting and contribute to process improvements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

    • CPA or CMA preferred

    • 6+ years related work experience (4+ years of public accounting experience is preferable), with at least 3 years in a supervisory role preferred

    • Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and other relevant accounting standards

    • Strong organization and communication skills required to prioritize and efficiently execute tasks

    • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts across all areas of the Finance and Operations organization to drive consensus and teamwork

    • Ability to prioritize tasks for meeting deadlines and willingness to work overtime as necessary

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    • Must be proficient in use of Excel, knowledge of SAP or another large ERP systems a plus
