Learning and Development Intern

Position Overview

Intek is seeking a motivated Learning and Development Intern to assist in the creation of an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) training program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and implementing a cutting-edge training solution that will be rolled out across all Intek locations. As an intern, you will collaborate with multiple teams and play a critical role in the production of instructional materials, 360-degree photography, and the creation of an immersive AR learning space. If you are passionate about technology, training, and development, this internship is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 360-Degree Photography: Assist with capturing 360-degree images at the Hastings location for use in the AR training environment.
• Video Production: Film and edit instructional videos to be integrated into the AR-based training platform.
• AR Program Development: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to help build and refine the AR space, contributing to the design of interactive and immersive learning modules.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various teams (e.g., HR, Operations, IT) to ensure the successful integration of AR training content.
• Standardization: Help create standardized work for the development and future scaling of AR-based training programs across the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters in Learning and DevelopmentE-LearningAudio/Visual, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
• Good technical writing skills for creating clear, concise documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and twist for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

• No supervisory responsibilities
• This is a hands-on internship, providing you with real-world experience in the field of Learning and Development and emerging technologies.
