LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Lead/Senior Endpoint Engineer for a contract, hybrid onsite opportunity with our financial client in the Rosemont, IL area!

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis of complex workstation issues and identify permanent resolutions and preventative steps.

• Build and manage virtual and physical machines through provisioning systems such as SCCM, JAMF, PDQ, vCenter and Ninite.

• Be the Subject Matter Expert for Windows OS, Apple/Mac iOS workstation, JAMF Enterprise Management, and Citrix XenApp Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) software.

• Harden Win OS and MAC iOS images based upon a Center for Internet Security (CIS) policy framework, measuring and reporting as required on compliance for each CIS policy.

• Monitor the ServiceNow ITSM Service Management ticket queues handling Incidents, Service Requests and Tasks

• Perform R&D on new products and techniques to improve efficiency and performance in the environment specifically Microsoft Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Jamf.

• Strive for continuous improvement of workstation, VDI and application delivery methods.

• Develop, support, and manage the Intune environment.

• Direct all technical efforts for workstation build automation, performance tuning and system monitoring.

• Develop workstation and software upgrade / release roadmaps to take full advantage of the most current features and security capabilities.

• Install, patch, upgrade, support and troubleshoot workstation and VDI software.

• Meet and exceed service levels for incidents, tasks and Service Requests.

• Act as escalation point for all endpoint computing desktop issues.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred.

• 4+ years of experience in endpoint management, including recent experience at a Lead/Senior engineer level.

• Strong subject matter expertise in SCCM (incl., creating/configuring packages)

• Strong subject matter expertise in Active Directory (incl., creating/modifying Group Policy Objects).

• Good hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting.

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating system and endpoint security best practices.

• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis of complex workstation issues and identify permanent resolutions and preventative steps.

• Experience providing escalated end-user support.

• Ability to lead/manage IT endpoint projects.

• Good working knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop VDI software preferred.

• Good working knowledge in Intune preferred.

• Certifications in Microsoft technologies such as MCSE, MCSA, or MCP are a plus.
