Lead Field Service Engineer

Job Title: Lead Field Service Engineer ( must do international travel for work)

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer/Technician, you will be working on a variety of challenging technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing equipment, RF/microwave products, and electro-mechanical devices, components, and systems. You will work from sketches, drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions, under some supervision with autonomy. This position will primarily involve installing and testing equipment at overseas locations, requiring extensive travel for extended stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform difficult electronic, mechanical, and technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, microwave products, electro-mechanical components, devices, and systems.

• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists, written or verbal instructions.

• Oversee a small team to install and test equipment at remote locations.

• Operate related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to construct, test, process, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specific products or equipment.

• Recommend changes or modifications to improve the operation or quality of electronic or mechanical products and equipment.

• Determine methods, operations, and sequences in setting procedures for constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, processing, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Must have at least an Active Secret Security Clearance.

• Proficiency in writing and speaking English.

• Associates degree in related technology or equivalent technical training, plus seven (7) years related experience, or the combination of training and related experience equal to ten (10) years.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred candidates will have an in-depth understanding of capacitors, test procedures, lead-free soldering, and spectrum analyzers.

• SATCOM/Military background is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes international remote locations and a manufacturing/office setting when back in the US. The role requires travel up to 50-75%.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00

on OSI benefits now- started at the beginning of the year- full time benefits/ paid time off/ health, medical, dental hsa

This is a fully onsite position in Dallas,TX.
