    Position Summary

    We are seeking a person with management skills to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and projected replacement of the Land & Sea Operations fleet of motorcycles, 4 wheel drive vehicles and watercraft used to train missionaries to serve safely and effectively in challenging environments.

    The ideal candidate will already have a background in fleet management and/or mechanical repair and maintenance. He or she will also have good interpersonal skills, and a well developed work ethic.

    The successful candidate will be encouraged to learn new skills and crosstrain in other areas of Land & Sea Operations.

    Position Responsibilities
    • Schedule preventative maintenance for the JAARS base motorcycle, 4WD, and watercraft training fleet.
    • Expedite timely repairs as needed.
    • Assign PM and repair jobs to the lead mechanic/shop foreman
    • In cooperation with the Training Director, ensure that an adequate number of vehicles/watercraft are operational for scheduled training events.
    • In cooperation with the Training Director, rotate the use of the training fleet units.
    • Ensure that maintenance consumables and common repair parts are kept in stock.
    • Project future replacements of training fleet units for budget purposes.
    • In cooperation with the Operations Director, develop and track maintenance schedules for overseas assets.
    • Oversee the continued training and professional development of the Land and Sea Ops mechanics.
