We are currently seeking 4 Tech Trainees for the peak season in the consumer genetics department. The lab performs genome-wide and targeted genetic analysis for a diverse range of customers. As a member of our team, you will directly help people learn about their ancestry and understand their genetic health risks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, and aliquot specimens for testing

• Work within a high-volume laboratory as part of a dedicated team to ensure patient results are reported within an acceptable turn-around-time

• Maintain, calibrate, and clean instrumentation

• Perform required QC/QA duties which include error detection, maintaining records/logs, and pulling samples for rework

• 1+ years of lab experience

• Prior experience working as a lab tech or specimen processor is a plus

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced lab environment in the consumer genetics department. The lab is responsible for receiving and processing 300,000 samples a week, with technicians handling anywhere from 600-700 samples in a shift. The work site is located in Burlington, NC. The current shift needed is Monday to Thursday, 10 PM to 8:30 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
