Our client is one of the largest nonprofit research and development institutions. Every day, they apply science and technology to solving what matters most. Our client conducts research and development, designs and manufactures products, and delivers critical services for government and commercial customers. They are looking for a lab technician to help serve the national security, health and life sciences, and energy and environmental industries.

Pay: $23.50/hour

Type of position: 6-month contract with possibility of extension

Schedule: 1 st Shift, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Commence and execute sample processing following written SOPs and project QAPPs.

• Organize and document particular quality control and assurance procedures for monitoring and evaluating the quality of multiple sample preparation procedures.

• Enter observations and data into LMS

Experience/Education:

• Associate's degree in chemistry or similar field with at least 1 year of laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience in preparation of environmental samples for chemical analysis.

• Familiarity with solid phase extraction (SPE) techniques.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office software.

• Ability to work alone, or in a team environment.

• Superior record keeping skills.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Flexibility with hours/schedule.
