    About the role

    PLEASE NOTE: For this position the length of contract could vary, and it is for the afternoon shift (3pm - 11pm).

    The primary responsibility of this position is to verify the quality of finished products produced at Kerry in Woodstock. Perform analytical tests on all finished products as verification that they meet specifications and report any discrepancies. Test environmental conditions of plant to guarantee plant is within specifications.

    Key responsibilities

    • Collect samples and test as percustomer and company requirements

    • Prepare composite powder samples to send out to outside lab for testing.

    • Calibrate the laboratory equipment

    • Enter samples and record test results in SAP

    • Test finished products and report any discrepancies to QA supervisor or designee.

    • Conduct weekly swabs of plant environment and monthly water and air testing

    • Report all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

    • Maintain technical proficiency through participating in training and development courses

    • Participate in continuous improvement projects and suggestions

    • Adhere to the ethical standards implicit within the company

    • Determine if product meets companys specifications

    • Interpret results that are not in specification and act accordingly

    Qualifications and skills

    • College Diploma or University Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant science

    • Computer literate in Microsoft Office

    • 1-3 years in food or pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing environment with a quality control focus
