Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

Seeking a meticulous and dedicated Lab Technician to join our team, working on a 7p-7a night shift. The successful candidate will conduct a range of tests following established procedures, maintain accurate test records, perform weekly calibration of lab instruments, handle clerical tasks to facilitate shipments, and serve as the primary contact for drivers regarding paperwork distribution. This role requires strict adherence to safety rules and maintaining a clean work environment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.

Hard Skills

• Conducting various laboratory tests (Solids, Viscosity, Grit, Film tests, Styrene butadiene ratio checks, Surface tension, Biological tests)

• Maintaining records on worksheets and databases

• Weekly calibration of lab instruments

• Clerical tasks related to shipment releases

Soft Skills

• Interpreting test results

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Organizational skills

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Work Environment

Laboratory - will be working by themselves most shifts. Needs to be an independent person who can effectively communicate with production and shipping departments.
