Lab Runner(Entry Level Healthcare)

Description

Immediate Employment Opportunity with a primary healthcare provider! We are seeking Runners who are responsible for transporting medications and related material to and from clinical departments of the hospital. Runners also help to keep the Pharmacy and Lab departments clean and in orderly condition. Runners transport medications and samples approved for distribution to nursing units or clinical department either by hand carrying them or sending them by the pneumatic tube system. Runners also collect medications and lab samples that are placed in the Pharmacy and other departments. Essential Functions Triage medications according to the priority and urgency (stat vs regular) and transport them in the most efficient and secure methods. Make regular visit to nursing units and clinical departments to collect medications and material to return to the pharmacy and lab. Assist in filling and delivering samples. Other work as assigned.

Two shifts are open

1st shift - 7am-3:30pm

Requirements

• An interest in healthcare/hospital roles

• Comfortable with being on your feet all day

• Exposure to a lab or hospital environment preferred
