LAB Measurment Technician

Our client, a leading research and development company, is seeking a LAB Measurement Technician to join their team. As a LAB Measurement Technician, you will be part of the Research and Development department supporting the product development team. The ideal candidate will have strong observational and documentation skills, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and be self-motivated and organized.

Job Title: LAB Measurement Technician

Location: Maplewood, MN

Pay Range: $24 per hour

What's the Job?

• Prepare routine and novel samples for analysis via SEM and AFM analysis using ultramicrotomy, ion milling, and other conventional techniques.

• Operating SEM and AFM and collecting data.

• Complete basic image processing and data analysis.

• Organize generated data into communicable reports.

• Support product development engineers through physical property and optical testing/characterization, sample prep.

What's Needed?

• Must have fine motor skills/dexterity as the candidate will be working with small objects.

• Possible Exposure to Irritants/Sensitizers: Epoxies.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines and demonstrates flexibility for changing priorities.

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, self-motivated, organized and interested in learning.

• Knowledge of, and experience with high resolution SEM imaging of a wide variety of materials (ex. metals, silicon, polymers).
