  • RESPONSIBILITIES

    I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Schedules assigned units/departments with appropriate staff and according to anticipated workloads, applicable bargaining agreements, and established policies/procedures.

    • Functions as a resource person for scheduling/staffing, payroll, and use of the organization's time and attendance system.

    • Plans, coordinates, and supports clerical operations to facilitate delivery of effective and efficient patient care for the unit/department.

    II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Essential: seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.

    • Frequent: sitting.

    • Infrequent: walking, stooping/bending, reaching at and below shoulder level.

    III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

    • Subjected to noise and people walking through the department.

    • May be subjected to dust.

    • Work environment is stressful due to multiple requests/projects, priorities, and deadlines.

    • May be exposed to hostile, disruptive or inappropriate patient behavior.

    IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

    • Associate's degree in health related field; or two (2) years work experience in health related field may be substituted for the educational requirement.

    • Must meet and maintain credentialing requirements with the State of Hawaii Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD).

    B. EXPERIENCE:

    • In addition to educational requirement, one (1) year payroll processing and/or scheduling/staffing experience, preferably in a comparable organization.

    • Knowledge of computer applications and time and attendance systems.

    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English effectively.

    • Knowledge of Kronos and bargaining contracts highly preferred.
