The 'Sentinel' Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, the first of its kind in over 50 years. This program is considered a mega-project and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides Advisory and Assistance Services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.
The Role
BAE Systems is looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to support DoD efforts. The ideal candidate has good problem-solving skills and ability to apply structural engineering principles to unique loading conditions and environments. Has the ability to change focus and track many different ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment, engaging with members of the engineering and design team to support structures and provide design support.
Graduate of ABET accredited University or will graduate within 6 months MS Preferred, BS Ok
Has working and operating knowledge of drafting tools REVIT and AutoCAD.
Can work with and follow direction of experienced engineers with a high attention to detail.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphases in structural or similar Engineering program from an ABET accredited program and 1-2 years of experience
Working knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD
Desirable to have understanding of Navisworks, Inventor, and/or Solidworx
Desirable understanding of FEA analysis and some exposure to FEA tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with design and engineering preferred
Desire to work towards and obtain a PE license
Ability to obtained secret clearance
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Background Civil/Structural Engineer or Mechanical Engineer and/or Construction
Experience with construction activities and project tracking software
Completion of the following courses (concrete design, steel design, masonry design, wood design, Structural analysis, ect)
Positive attitude and learning mindset
Salary Min $50,580 - $86,950

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
