Job Description
We are looking for a Jr. Software Developer to support the ongoing development of reports that are leveraged by leadership to make real time, data driven decisions. The Jr. Software Developer will work under the supervision of a Team Lead, allowing the team member to gain hands on knowledge of best practices in the software development while supporting client needs This position will be Full-Time and Remote.
This opportunity exists within CAI's Neurodiverse Solutions business unit, all candidates in consideration of positions within CAI's Neurodiverse Solutions must be able to self-disclose that they identify as neurodivergent.
Due to our end client and project work, this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
What You'll Do
Interact with the client's analytics platform and data warehouse to build BI intelligence reports in accordance with client's business rules
Retrofit existing reports into standardized templates/structures
Develop SQL and/or python scripts to query and manipulate various data sources.
Review, query, and manipulate varying data to identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems.
Perform as a key contributor to standardizing and building consistency with the BI report visuals.
Collaborate with testing team to ensure quality prior to migration to the production environment.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Prior experience with SQL Queries and concepts (i.e. joins, extract, transfer, load)
An understanding of ETL Workflows and documenting data process flows/transformation rules
Exposure to developing and delivering products in a collaborative, Agile / SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) environment
Ability to be flexible, resourceful, quick to learn and adapt to change
Demonstrated initiative, problem solving, and self-leadership skills
Attention to detail and strong decision-making skills
Excellent written and active communication skills
Additional certifications relevant to Data Analytics, Software Testing or a related field a plus (i.e. CompTIA ITF+, CompTIA A+)
Prior experience with automated testing frameworks (i.e. Cucumber/Selenium)
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
