Jr. Accountant/ Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of a Jr. Accountant/Accounts Payable Specialist to become a part of our team. This role involves a wide range of accounting tasks in Brea, California, 92821, United States. The individual in this role will be responsible for the full cycle of Accounts Payable, using Microsoft Excel and other accounting software, in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage two accounts payable clerks

• Execute full cycle Accounts Payable processes

• Utilize Excel and accounting software for various accounting tasks

• Handle a high volume of accounts payable transactions

• Supervise and train team members

• Report to designated offices for interviews and training

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in accounts payable

• Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and data

• Act as a point of contact for all accounts payable inquiries. Requirements - Possesses a strong understanding and proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrates advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Has experience in supervisory oversight, capable of managing and coordinating team efforts

• Holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Exhibits strong numerical skills and attention to detail

• Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role

• Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills

• Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Exhibits strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Shows proficiency in using accounting software

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
