Job Title: Journeyman Machinist

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Journeyman Machinist to work on various oil field parts including drums, threads (API), flanges, and more. Responsibilities include setting up parts, programming, and running 2-3 different jobs per day using conversational programming on most machines. The role requires handling projects involving 30 inch to 2 inch diameter pipes using GibbsCAM software.

Hard Skills

• Journeyman Machinist certification

• 5+ years experience with CNC Lathe or Mill

• Proficiency in GibbsCAM and G-Code

• Ability to program a part from scratch

• 4-5 axis machine operation experience

• Experience with short production runs (up to 75 pieces)

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Strong organizational skills

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Calgary, Alberta.

Work Environment

The workshop is located in SE Calgary housing approximately 30 trade workers with plans to expand. Work shifts are available in day and afternoon slots, with overtime payable after certain hours. Initially, the position will start with day shifts for training purposes.
