Job Description

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to work in an industrial setting in Skowhegan, ME. The ideal candidate will be committed to job site safety, reliable, and physically capable of performing demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and adhere to all safety protocols.

• Work reliably and punctually during a standard 40-hour workweek, with flexibility for occasional 50-hour weeks, night, and weekend shifts.

• Perform tasks for 10-hour shifts, including standing and walking on concrete floors for extended durations.

• Work from heights and elevated platforms.

• Lift up to 50 pounds.

• Climb and work from ladders.

• Bend and install EMT and Rigid conduit of all sizes.

• Pull wire and perform control panel wiring.

• Wire distribution panels, Motor Control Centers, electrical disconnects, and motors.

• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Essential Skills

• Maine Journeyman or Master electrician license.

• 5+ years of commercial and industrial experience.

• Proficiency in bending and installing EMT and Rigid conduit of all sizes.

• Experience pulling wire and wiring control panels.

• Ability to wire distribution panels, Motor Control Centers, electrical disconnects, and motors.

• Competence in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.

• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Supervisory experience is a plus.

• Experience operating aerial lifts and scissor lifts is ideal.

Work Environment

The standard workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Thursday, with occasional work extending the week to 50 hours, including night and weekend shifts. The role involves physically demanding tasks such as working from heights, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Skowhegan, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00
