The Opportunity
This position works out of our Chicago - Northern Suburbs location(J46). in the Business & Technology Service Teams.
What You'll Work On
The Senior Business System Analyst is the primary liaison between the IT and business area. Applies technical and business knowledge and experience to formulate an Information Technology solution for a business problem. Works with clients on activities of moderate complexity; consults with clients and senior IT personnel to develop solutions for business or technical problems. The primary role of the Senior Business Systems Analyst will be to support Commercial 'Software as a Service' (SaaS) applications used for Incentive Compensation management and 'Next Best Action' recommendations for sales representatives.
Support Saas applications in Information Management as the primary point of contact between the vendors and Abbott
Analyze reported issues and manage escalation to vendors
Responsible for requirements gathering and prioritization of business requests for new functionality in a continuous improvement environment.
Manage enhancement activities.
Contribute to end-user training as needed and be comfortable providing day-to-day support
Communicate effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of information systems
Conform to and enforce planned work priority in the face of continued interruptions
Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, adhere to operating procedures, processes, and complete task assignments within the assigned timelines
Develop necessary documentation, testing and change control procedures to satisfy internal product validation and update as needed for audit compliance
Maintain accurate current state application architecture diagrams, documentation, and other data sources in a consistent and replicable manner
Develop detailed implementation, test and roll-back procedures for planned changes and follow code promotion model utilizing change request approvals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Must be familiar with software development methodologies
Data Analytics, SQL - able to create and execute queries for data analysis
Experience with software testing
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with automated testing and test-driven development practices
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to bridge communication between vendors and business areas for a full and complete understanding of expectations
Must be a self-starter and possess good analytical skills
Able to perform project management for small to medium sized projects
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
Ability to travel approximately 5%, including internationally

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 - $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
