    Job Description

    U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished IT Operations Manager with management and IT operations experience. This position provides leadership for ensuring the teams are monitoring our critical Mainframe Infrastructure and batch processing for every mainframe application up to and including ACH, Hogan, ICS, MPS, Mortgage and Trust. This person ensures escalation and coordination for incident triage, communication and resolution for our critical mainframe infrastructure events.

    Responsible for shift activities relating to the operation of IT systems in a complex, multi-platform environment including the managing, monitoring, support, and maintenance of all IT Operations activities. Manages and provides direction to IT Operations staff to achieve department and company goals. Plans and manages the efforts of the shift to provide effective and efficient computer systems that enables the company to meet its business plan. Demonstrates the sense of urgency and commitment required for managing a 24/7 operation. Guides and manages staff; answer questions, provides management direction and scheduling to meet established goals. Evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Makes recommendations regarding promotions, salary, and other personnel actions within salary and personnel administration guidelines. Maintains a good understanding of business line functions, needs, and changes. Manages a small staff of employees which include employee relations, performances, reviews, approves employee time records, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc. Helps to plan, develop, and control small to moderate project/product budgets.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    • At least 6 years experience with a data center operating environment, day-to-day operational requirements, and the operation of production systems and equipment.

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • Extensive experience in: Mainframe Infrastructure and batch processing for mainframe application including ACH, Hogan, ICS, MPS, Mortgage and Trust

    • Basic understanding in: IT systems management, IT project management and Information security management

    • Working experience in: ITIL service delivery, IT service management (ITSM), Application delivery process

    • Experience working with Hardware infrastructure, Telecommunications

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Ability to understand the complexities of tasks, change priorities, and meet deadlines

    • Ability to inspire others to take action

    • Ability to change perspectives to present approaches by contributing to projects that deliver commercial value through strong execution on cost-efficiency and operational improvements

    Location Expectations

    The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00
