    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and strategic DevSecOps Platform Manager to lead our operations and security functions within the DevSecOps practice. This role is critical in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Software Development, DevSecOps capabilities, a deep understanding of application security best practices, and excellent leadership skills. This candidate will be an influencer and will promote the DevSecOps culture, working closely with application development teams to drive adoption and embed security into the heart of development processes.

    This candidate will direct manage the work of others to achieve business results. The candidate has responsibility for employee development, performance reviews, pay reviews, and staffing decisions. This candidate will also be accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes, or programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implements, evolves, and matures the organization's DevSecOps practice by educating and collaborating with all levels of the organization and development communities to develop guidance, standards, and integration of DevSecOps capabilities.

    • Manages the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities. Understands the overall organizational vision and translates it into team goals and actionable plans that align with departmental and organizational goals. Maintains a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and leads teams through periods of change and transformation by acting as a change agent to influence DevSecOps techniques and drive toward secure and faster value delivery.

    • Manages the roadmap and portfolio for the DevSecOps capability as the Agile Product Manager by maintaining partnerships with DevSecOps vendors, partners, and internal customers. Translates customer needs and requirements to the DevSecOps team, ensuring business requirements are effectively understood and captured in the team backlog.

    • Collaborates with key stakeholders such as but not limited to architects, product owners, internal teams, and development and operations teams to guide the design, implementation, and management of the enterprise DevSecOps capabilities and toolchain. Identifies and selects appropriate tools for implementing, integrating and managing the DevSecOps toolchain in conjunction with enterprise standards. Streamlines deployment processes and adopts best practices in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) by providing training and awareness to proper DevSecOps practices and tooling.

    • Manages the enablement and support of application security, including automated security testing, vulnerability management, and secrets management.

    • Maintains visibility and support of operations of the DevSecOps platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Maintains visibility and metrics to track adoption and health of the overall DevSecOps practice.

    • Plans, resources, and provides direction and technical leadership for low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manages the department project portfolio effectively through governance and planning processes.

    • Assists in the development and management of the department budget, tracking expenses, and ensures that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.

    • Stays abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, internal initiatives, technical platforms, and use cases related to DevSecOps to make recommendations to internal communities and customer on adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

    • Assesses and identifies technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize processes and workflows.

    • Partners with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.

    • Assists in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.

    • Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, performance management of talent to meet needs of the business.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.

    • 10+ years of diversified IT experience required.

    • 3+ years of experience leading professional staff required.

    • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or related roles required.

    • Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure Services and Tools preferred and experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes) preferred.

    • Experience practicing Agile methodologies and processes preferred.

    • Experience implementing and developing DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps), Infrastructure as Code concepts, and application security practices preferred.

    • Experience with secure coding concepts, the OWASP Top 10, secrets management, and identity and access management integration preferred.

    • Experience with security testing processes such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability management platforms preferred.
