IT Director

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Director in Houston, Texas. As an IT Director, you will have a crucial role in managing our network and infrastructure systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. You will be expected to optimize and maintain the infrastructure environment, reinforce networks, and guard against escalating cybersecurity threats. This role requires technical proficiency, robust leadership skills, and a proactive approach to managing IT infrastructure in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization's hybrid IT infrastructure, which includes servers, storage, and other essential components and assets.

• Lead the planning and execution of a comprehensive IT infrastructure and networking strategy that aligns with our goals and anticipates future technological developments.

• Architect and supervise the implementation of a resilient, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure.

• Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place, regularly tested, and establish Recovery Point and Time (RPO/RTO) objectives based on business needs.

• Manage infrastructure and network projects from conception through deployment, ensuring delivery within budget and timeline.

• Guarantee the integrity and security of network operations by implementing and managing advanced network security measures.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends in cybersecurity and apply best practices to safeguard our assets and data.

• Support the evaluation and procurement of enterprise systems.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of on-premise and/or cloud-based infrastructure.

• Champion the adoption of emerging networking technologies to maintain a state-of-the-art network environment.

• Develop and enforce network and data security policies, procedures, and standards. Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field is required.

• Proven experience as an IT Director or similar role.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory and Azure Monitor is vital.

• Expertise in Windows Azure is essential.

• Strong understanding of IT management and strategy.

• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage and control IT budget efficiently.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and capacity to handle pressure.

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, IT or related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
