    Job Description:

    Infrastructure Technology Solutions (ITS) provides available, adaptable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure-based technology services and support. We partner with our technology and business partners to enable TD to be "The Better Bank".

    An IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for providing expertise, leadership, and direction for creation of infrastructure designs. Soliciting and interpreting requirements from application architecture and infrastructure designs and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. This role works closely with Solution Architects, DevOps and Engineering resources.

    We are looking for someone with experience in designing , building and operating a range of infrastructure technologies, such as operating systems, virtualization platforms, databases, middle-ware and other core technologies. Get ready to plan, evaluate, recommend, and design architectural solutions while keeping within enterprise standards.     We are looking for a candidate with architectural experience and expertise in designing both traditional on-premises solutions as well as native public and hybrid-public cloud solutions. Azure knowledge and hands on experience and certification a plus. Understanding of Microsoft stacks, how version differences affect feature capability and how best to couple stacks, or components, to meet both technology and security requirements using the most secure and cost-effective solution. Understanding of automated deployment pipelines with Understanding the components used in CICD pipelines a plus.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical and executive audiences (oral and written)

    • Work with governance and other technology partners to understand security standards and risks, to ensure infrastructure designs are compliant with all requirements.

    • Research and analyze business requirements to recommend optimal architecture solutions, balancing performance, stability and cost.

    • Participate as an expert and consultant on projects of moderate to high risk and complexity.

    • Build consensus, facilitate collaboration and decision-making within and across business units so IT strategy application aligns with architecture framework.

    • Respect TD's technology delivery practices, standards, and project management disciplines, including system requirements project documentation creation, cost and scope estimation.

    • Conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions have met requirements, identify framework gaps, necessary enhancements, potential standards, and patterns for future versions.

    • Provide all the require documentation to support the design, design-making and governance procedures, required at TD.

    • Contribute as a stakeholder to our technology standards as we grow.

    • Analyze systems for performance or stability issues and provide timely and appropriate recommendations.

    What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

    • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.

    • Graduate Degree preferred.

    • 3 - 7 years relevant industry experience.

    • Expert knowledge of architecture related to specific infrastructure technologies, tools, processes, procedures and broader business issues and relevant technologies.

    • Advanced knowledge of the business and associated standards, infrastructure, architecture and technology from a design or solution perspective.

    • Proven ability to work autonomously on complex, highly visible architecture projects and initiatives.

    • Readiness to act as a lead expert in architectural information exchange for project teams, the business and outside vendors.

    • Demonstrated experience in managing and directing architecture analysis and design activities on larger, high-risk, and highly complex projects.

    • Self-starter with leadership and organization skills

    In an Interview, be prepared to speak to your past contributions to designing and deploying the following technologies:

    • At least 2 years proven experience architecting highly available / operable infrastructure solutions:

    • ESXi, private and public cloud, x86 commodity hardware

    • Microsoft Azure network and PaaS Services

    • Linux, Windows

    • JBoss, NodeJS, Springboot

    • Database - Oracle RAC, OCaC, MS SQL, Mongo, Cassandra

    • Storage - SAN, DAS & NAS

    • HA & DR designs

    • Network - DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, CDN Technologies
