    Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Inventory Control Specialist within the Integrated Planning team.

    Location:

    This is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ location, in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reduction and elimination of non-working inventory, which includes inefficient and committed, in the Regional/Market Distribution Centers and the Regional Pipeyards.

    • Utilize the Ferguson network, supplier return agreements, discounting methods, and liquidation capabilities to assist with the reduction of inefficient inventory.

    • Collaborate with internal groups to improve processes and procedures to eliminate non-working inventory and to enhance the overall recovery process through liquidation channels.

    • Assist with the development of all reporting capabilities to ensure quantitative metrics are in place to report on areas of non-working inventory.

    • Assist in design, development, and implementation of a more connected returns and liquidation process.

    • Work cross-functionally with Ferguson departments to maintain or create standard operational procedures.

    • Create and deliver training in live, recorded, and written formats.

    • Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

    • Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.

    • Performs other related duties as requested by management.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect operational reporting to identify areas of focus

    • Proficient in analysis and reporting

    • Familiarity with Supply Chain processes (e.g.: warehouse management, purchasing and inventory) preferred

    • Strong intuition for business and critical thinking skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Strong judgment and decision-making ability

    • Possess intermediate MS Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills

    • Able to work both independently and in a team environment

    • Able to manage priorities and get tasks accomplished in a timely and efficient manner

    • Highly motivated and customer service oriented individual

    $3,075.30 - $6,783.70

    Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
