Job Description

This enterprise level telecom company is looking for a strong backend Java Developer to join their frontline retail application development team. This team is responsible for the backend of multiple applications, working with databases, and deploying services and web apps to Kubernetes. The candidate must also have strong experience developing web services and microservices.

• Design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable products.

• Master our development process, culture, and code base, then improve it.

• Operate effectively in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are expected to be able to design and execute the necessary work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers.

• Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others

Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience with Java/JEE

Experience developing restful web services and microservices in Spring Boot

Experience with Kubernetes and Docker

Security knowledge and experience with API gateways and Swagger

Solid understanding of Database technologies such as GraphQL and MongoDB preferred

Experience building highly scalable web applications.

Experience gathering requirements, and working closely with product and business stakeholders

Ability to hit the ground running and work autonomously without hand holding

Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.

Experience with Atlassian products for Agile development and requirements tracking: Jira, JiraAlign, Qtest and Confluence

Excellent communication skills Experience with AEM

Experience working in Telecom null
