    SUMMARY:

    Under general supervision, performs accounting duties including internal audit functions, parts inventory analysis, and financial analysis. Incumbents perform a variety of financial record keeping duties and transactions in conjunction with record keeping. This position is one that will lead to increasing responsibilities.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform walkthroughs and tests of key internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) to ensure internal controls and processes over parts inventory are designed and operating effectively.
    • Monitor parts inventory cycle counts, analyze cycle results, and process inventory adjustments for counts.
    • Assist in execution of continuous auditing procedures.
    • Own audit projects from beginning to end, research and planning, audit plan development, management of scope and deadlines, conducting fieldwork, effective communication with management, reporting and project wrap-up.
    • Analyze financial and business activities, document process flows, identify process strengths and weaknesses, and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness; Partner with process owners to develop action plans to address concerns.
    • Modeling the data to forecast future demand and inventory optimization.
    • Assist with special projects, as necessary.
    • Conduct effective presentations and meetings with various levels of personnel.
    • Develop interpersonal relationships by working closely with other team members, external auditors, and consultants.
    • Interacting with Parts and Service departments to understand demand forecast drivers.
    • Proactively seek new tasks and increasing levels of responsibility to facilitate efficiency.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Meet objectives as established by the Controller.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

    • Knowledge and ability to work with basic arithmetic and accurately compare and transcribe figures.
    • Knowledge and ability to work with bookkeeping and accounting principles; prepare and adjust journal entries.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to utilize automated data processing systems; operate office machines.
    • Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, which would typically be acquired through:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Finance or Accounting.
    • Three to five years previous accounting or finance experience required.

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

    • Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
    • Effectively communicating and working with customers.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • MS Operating Systems: Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Accounting systems

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to establish credibility quickly. Must be decisive and able to recognize and support the organizations goals and priorities.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this position the employee will be required to utilize the computer screen and keyboard, telephone and will need to bend and reach to file.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    General office environment.
