Position Overview

Autodesk Research is looking for a passionate and skilled graduate research intern for summer 2025 at our Toronto office located in the MaRS Discovery District.

The ideal intern will work on solving a complex engineering design problem using deep generative AI models. We are interested in investigating various deep learning techniques such as Transformers, LSTMs, Diffusion models, Autoencoders, Graph Neural Nets, Deep Reinforcement Learning (RLxF), etc.

The candidate should have experience in developing one or

more of those models and applying them to solve a problem of interest.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in developing, extending, and/or applying deep learning methodsfor solving an engineering designproblem

• Architect and implement a data generationand modeltraining/testingpipeline

• Publish the outcome at a top-tier AIconference

• Create a prototype/demoto showcase the solutionand presentthe results to internalaudiences

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuinga PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, AerospaceScience andEngineering, Civil Engineering, or other related disciplines

• Exceptional Master's degree candidates will also be considered

• Demonstrated success in solving difficultproblems with deep learning methods(e.g., publicationat top-tier conferences)

• Experience workingwithPyTorchand other datascience and machine learning librariesin Python

• Excellent knowledgeof the latestresearchin the domainof expertise

• Experience in synthetic dataset generation would bea plus

• Experience in engineering designwould be a plus
