    What are your contributions to the team?

    The Acoustic & Vibration Group is designated as the "Center of Excellence" for noise and vibration control at Bombardier Aerospace. The group's mandate is to optimize the cabin noise and the vibration environment and to support exterior noise certification for our aircraft.

    • Produce ground, flight or laboratory test plan

    • Perform ground or flight acoustics and vibration tests

    • Analyze acoustics and vibration data

    • Produce technical reports

    • Develop vibro-acoustic analytical tools (FEM, SEA, Ray tracing)

    • Use vibro-acoustic models for predictions

    During your internship, you will learn:

    • Use dedicated Acoustics & Vibrations software

    • Develop your knowledge of the aircraft, its manufacturing and architecture and develop your team

    • Work within a nice and dynamic team

    How to thrive in this role?

    • You are enrolled as an undergraduate, Master's or PHD level student in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Eng. Physics) with a focus on acoustics or structural modeling

    • You have an interest in acoustics and vibration and in aerospace

    • You are familiar with:

    • Acoustics and vibration analysis (Fourier analysis)

    • Matlab

    • Excel and VBA

    • VA One and Sim Center (an asset)

    • Hyper Mesh (an asset)

    • You are fluent in English and French for both written and verbal communication

    • The duration of internship is 4 months, and could be extended up to 8 months

    • The complexity of the internship is adapted to the level of the student selected

    • The internship will be done working from home and / or at the office following the public health guidelines
