Intermediate Project Manager/Scrum Master

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hybrid Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. This role requires a unique blend of traditional project management and agile scrum master expertise to effectively manage and deliver projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both disciplines and excel in communication and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Manage project scope, schedule, resources, financials, and risks.

Maintain standard project status reporting and RAID log management.

Utilize MS Project for project planning and tracking.

Preferred: PMP certification.

Scrum Master

Facilitate shared product backlog with multiple teams (team-of-teams approach).

Establish new teams and promote Agile principles and best practices.

Conduct standard scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.).

Utilize JIRA and Confluence for agile project management.

Required: CSM certification.

Communication and Collaboration

Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred: Prior consulting experience.

Preferred: Prior experience with BMO (Business Management Office).

Skills and Requirements

1) Project management experience (5-8yrs) and Scrum Master experience (4-6yrs). This is a hybrid role for a Project Manager that will also perform as a Scrum Master.

2) Traditional project management skills

a. Deep experience in scope, schedule, resource, financial, and risk management disciplines

b. Standard project status reporting, RAID log management and hygiene

c. MS Project experience required

d. PMP preferred

3) Traditional scrum master skills

a. Facilitating shared product backlog with multiple other teams (team-of-teams approach)

b. Standing up new team and adopting Agile principles and best practices

c. Experience conducting standard scrum ceremonies

d. JIRA and Confluence experience required

e. CSM required

4) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, prior consulting experience preferred, prior BMO experience preferred null
