  • Interim VP Banking Operations

    Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Banking Operations Manager for short term contract that could lead to permanent hire. Full-time, W-2, must be on-site in Bloomfield, Colorado . This person is responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and controlling all operations for Credit Union's Member Solutions, Recovery and Real Estate Loss Mitigation. You will oversee all functions and assist in the resolution of difficult and complex member account situations. Responsible for collateral, repossessions, and the disposition of repossessed Credit Union assets.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Report on trending changes in delinquency and charge offs that may affect the profitability to upper management, including changes in legal requirements and government regulations are integrated into current practices.

    • Ensure required documentation, reports, and records are complete, accurate, and timely. Ensure that Upper-Management is appropriately informed and manages reporting on all assets.

    • Responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and planning, reviewed annually and execute established operational goals and ensure that corporate-wide plans are complemented and supported.

    • Ensure delinquent loans are promptly addressed and resolved. Appropriate and timely legal actions are initiated. Delinquency/collection ratios that meet management standards are maintained.

    • Discuss possible financial arrangements, inform members of possible legal actions, and provide or suggest financial counseling as means to arrive at suitable payment arrangements

    • Manage and Negotiate contracts with 3rd party vendors for the recovery of charged off assets in recovery

    • Final decisions on charge-offs, oversee repossessions, foreclosures, overdrafts, bankruptcy, deceased members and various collection actions.

    • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in business and finance or equivalent experience

    • 8 to 10 years of leadership in Collections/Member Services

    • 3 to 5 years supervisory experience

    • Thorough knowledge of collections, servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy procedures, and legal requirements

    • Understanding of Credit Union Retail/Lending policies, and default enforcement clauses

    • Understand Real Estate Collection and Processes

    • Experience with 3rd party vendors and contracts

    • Must have experience and understanding of economic trending and how they affect delinquency

    What's in it for you:

    • Hourly rate of $50 to $70 an hour with Direct Deposit
