Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Intel Analyst . This position is located in Charlottesville, VA .

Battelle's CBRNE Business Line is seeking an experienced analyst to conduct open-source datamining, document collection, data entry, and the use of several data-driven software tools. This position requires the ability to multi-task and to be flexible and agile due to the rapid changing requirements of our customers and the analysts we support. The successful candidate must be familiar with open- and gray-sourced search, discovery, acquisition, exploitation, and analysis, and be comfortable utilizing various search engines and scientific databases. Experience with meta-data annotation/tagging is a plus. The successful candidate must show an interest in learning, the ability to work well in a team environment, and be comfortable speaking in front of their peers and clients. The candidate must have an active TOP SECRET level U.S. Government security clearance with SCI access.

This position is located in Charlottesville, VA and is in a professional office environment.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with up to 3 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient with scientific databases (e.g. SciFinder, PubMed, ScienceDirect)

• Ability to research and analyze scientific, medical, and patent literature

• Ability to research social media

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

• Willingness to work in small groups or independently as necessary

• Demonstrated technical writing skills, shown by articles published in technical journals, reports, theses, etc.

• Other duties as assigned

• Currently possess a DoD sponsored Top Secret/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with reference management software (e.g. EndNote, Zotero)

• Experience with documenting/annotating/tagging meta-data on source files

• Experience performing research relevant to TECHINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and/or HUMINT
