    Become an Integrated Resource Planning Policy Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll will be part of Regulatory Affairs' Integrated Resource Planning team that manages SCE's participation in various regulatory proceedings at the California Public Utilities Commission and other state agencies related to SCE's resource planning and related functions. You will lead regulatory proceedings as a case manager, including coordinating internal cross-functional teams and developing SCE's policy positions. You will be responsible for reviewing and summarizing regulatory documents, developing SCE's comments and testimony, and responding to data requests from the CPUC and stakeholders. You will participate in regulatory forums and stakeholder meetings and represent SCE's interests in those venues. Topics likely to be assigned to this role include integrated resource planning, clean energy and reliability procurement, and integrating zero-carbon resources into California's energy markets.

    • Manage diverse internal, and at times external, stakeholders through complex regulatory proceedings that require technical analysis, testimony preparation and detailed comments to regulatory decisions

    • Review a variety of regulatory proceedings and stakeholder processes to evaluate their impact on SCE and resource planning

    • Work with internal stakeholders to develop policy positions for SCE and work with external stakeholders to develop alliances, make presentations, advocate for adoption with agencies and regulators as necessary

    • Work with the SCE legal department to file pleadings with the applicable regulatory authority to represent SCE's positions

    • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

    The essentials

    • 10 years of combined experience in Case Management, cross-functional coordination, energy procurement, system planning and energy-related regulatory policy

    The preferred

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, or other related discipline

    • Experience analyzing and interpreting regulations, legislation or policies in a public utility or other regulated environment

    • Experience developing testimony, legal filings, or other regulatory reports

    • Proven experience working with internal and external clients to reach consensus on issues

    • Demonstrated business writing ability including making persuasive arguments

    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

    You should know

    • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
