    The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

    Intake Specialist I Pay Range:

    Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

    Salary:

    $16.60 - $20.74 DOE

    Intake Specialist Summary:The Intake Specialist I plays' a critical role in facilitating timely access to services for new clients at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health. This position involves performing initial client intakes, managing the release of information, and collaborating closely with the screening and assessment team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, work independently, and contribute to the smooth operations of our agency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough intakes for new clients seeking services at KBBH.
    • Ensure all new clients have a signed release of information on file.
    • Coordinate an orderly handoff to the screening team.
    • Navigate client profiles and schedules using the Credible Electronic Health Record (EHR).
    • Facilitate crisis protocols for clients requiring urgent support.
    • Collaborate with office staff to ensure efficient agency operations.
    • Escalate issues involving unruly clients to the Support Services Supervisor.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • High school diploma or GED.

    Experience:

    • Required:
      • Two years of office experience.
    • Preferred:
      • Bilingual (Spanish).
      • One year of clinical or behavioral health office experience.
      • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
      • One year of experience with client information data entry.

    Competencies:
    To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:

    • Job Knowledge: Familiarity with gathering and transferring client information into electronic databases.
    • Use of Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and willing to learn ADP Workforce and Credible EHR.
    • Customer Service: Maintain a calm and professional demeanor, effectively managing difficult or emotional client situations.
