    Job Description:

    Parsons is seeking a talented Infrastructure Hardware Engineer / Systems Implementation Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will design, configure, integrate, and document detailed designs as derived from system high level designs and requirements.

    What You'll Be Doing :

    • Conduct rack, power/cooling, cabling, virtual/physical storage management, and interface analysis for new hardware installations

    • Coordinate with facility team for installation approvals

    • Document Floor Layout, Rack Elevations, Cable Interconnect Diagrams, and update CM Database for new and existing hardware installations

    • Update High Level Designs to reflect new hardware installations

    • Install racks, PDUs, and infrastructure hardware/cabling according to design artifacts

    • Design, Install, and Troubleshooting of KVM and/or VDI experience

    • Knowledge of different fiber optic technologies and proper implementation according to technology constraints and industry best practices

    • Support QA team with audits of racks and cabling

    • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

    • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 hardware administration support

    • Open tickets with vendors and collaborate/drive hardware issues to closure

    • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issue

    • Install and upgrade computer components and firmware, configure BIOS, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes

    • Create, test, install, and label cabling within data center racks and under floor cable management

    What Required Skills You'll Bring :

    • Active DoD Top Secret s ecurity clearance, with the ability and willingness to obtain and maintainSCI access

    • Active Security+

    • BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline

    • 5+ years of relevant experience

    • Experience with server, workstation, network, and storage hardware

    • Working to intermediate knowledge of Red Hat or Windows Operating Systems in support of hardware configurations and troubleshooting

    • Experience with building, installing, and testing cabling, computer rack, hardware installation, and cable routing

    • Understanding of network fundamentals (IP, Ethernet)

    Salary Range

    $96,400.00 - $168,700.00
